Matching Donations for Charity

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (WVIR) –

A Charlottesville man and his wife just started a cycle studio with something they say you won’t find anywhere else in the state.

The new studio in the Barracks Road Shopping Center hopes to brighten up the community in more ways than one.

Thursday is the first official day of classes at Zoom Indoor Cycling in Charlottesville.

Cara Goodman and her husband Justin founded Zoom.

“We went to studios all over the world and that was the one thing we kept talking about while discussing what we needed to bring to this studio,” said Goodman.

“It was sort of an entrepreneurial moment of if there’s not something you want just build it,” said Justin Goodman.

The boutique cycle studio will also brighten local nonprofits.

“With me growing up here and Cara loving it.  It is something that was important for us to give back to the local community so we are going to partner with a different local charity every month,” said Justin Goodman.

Zoom will match donation money if people want to pay for a song request while they sweat it out.

Right now the Zoom founders are trying to decide who its first few charities of the month will be, so if you have any suggestions they encourage you to let them know.
