WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR MY FIRST RIDE?
You’ll want to arrive about 15 minutes before class time, hydrated and ready to sweat! You are in control of how much resistance you ride with and will get stronger with every class you take. All of our classes are beginner accessible and we are a judgement-free zone.
HOW DO I GET MY FIRST RIDE FREE?
It’s easy, you just sign up for an account! The first class is automatically added to your account and you can sign up for any class on the schedule. While the class is added for all customers, the first class free is only offered to local (Charlottesville, Albemarle and surrounding counties) residents and UVA students (undergraduate and graduate). Make sure to bring a valid photo ID or other proof of residency if you do not use a virginia.edu email address. Note: Each class is limited to 5 new riders as participants, so if you’re unable to book a given class, please choose another class on the schedule. We do this to make sure we can devote enough time such that each new rider is set up fully and safely.
WHERE CAN I PARK?
You can park anywhere in the Barracks Road Shopping Center parking lot (including the lot adjacent to Harris Teeter/OTF) or on Arlington Blvd. in front of the studio.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Wear comfortable clothes designed for exercise. You will moving off and on the bike seat, so skip baggy bottoms. Fitted biking shorts or leggings are perfect.
DO I NEED SPECIAL SHOES?
To provide a safer and more effective workout, we use specialized cycling shoes that clip in to the bike at Zoom. Shoes are free with your first class, and $2 cash ($2.75 account charge) for rental thereafter. For those bringing your own shoes, our bikes are compatible with SPD and Look Delta cleats. Finally, we also offer Giro and Tiem cycle shoes for sale, and if we don’t have your size in stock, shoe rental is free until they arrive.
